Over the weekend, we added a natural playground for our hens inside their coop, using a 6-7' juniper tree branch removed from one of our trees during our recent fencing project. The girls really seem to like climbing all over, under and through it. (click pic for a larger image)

As coop hens, I want to make sure I provide my girls with things that will interest them and help keep them from being bored.

That looks like a lot of fun for the chickens. They are lucky girls.
What sort of hen is the one in your pic. Her coloring is like a Ptarmigan when it's between it's winter white feathers and summer brown feathers.
I bet all the chickens pick a spot that belongs to only them.
Any chance they can fly over the top of your run? I know you mentioned predators are very active.
