Sunday Stills ~ Textures

This week’s challenge over at Sunday Stills is Textures.

I was going to post several different textural things, but this one subject matter covered the bases on many levels.

First you’ve got bumpy, scratchy, and rough.

Then you’ve got coarse and hairy.

Followed by spiky and knobby.

And let’s not forget: Slimy, Sticky and Muddy.

Yes, I’d say that Wart Hogs are very textural creatures, don’t you agree?

To see how others have covered the textural topic, check out Sunday Stills.

Reminds me of my Aussie Sadie! At least the slimy, sticky, muddy part! LOL!
Love the wart hog! They definately have warts! Not the prettiest creature, that's for sure!
Great pictures!! Even if it is a wart hog! I'll take it!

I was waiting for the punchline, hoping that this wasn't one of your pets.

Yup, pretty much got the texture thing covered there!

She is sort of pretty if you look at her long enough. Maybe I'd better get my glasses checked.

I love the details of the coarse hair (?) and the mud. And I agree its cutie-ugly, though perfect series for the theme. Thanks for the visit and comments here

You know I thought about getting in on this one but wasn't sure how to go about finding texture...You made me see that you can find it anywhere. Even in something as ugly cute as a warthog. Good job Lisa.

Yup, you definately got lots of texture with that subject.

Never seen a real warthog, hmm, I can't see the cuteness :/ but is indeed a forest of textures on legs. Boy are they HAIRY!

Lisa, You chose one of my absolute favorite creatures, warthogs are so cool, they are so ugly you just can't help but love them. We used to have a pair that hung out in the safari camp where I worked in Zambia and mowed the grass for us, we all loved them and the babies (we called them wartlets!) are just the cutest.

Oh my goodness, that is one funny looking critter - with lots of texture!

Wow, somehow my hog is not quite as unattractive as she was a few minutes ago. I will say this for a warthog, he was created with great textures thus making him a perfect specimen for Sunday Stills. Beautiful shots as always :)

Hi Lisa! Great pictures. Sometimes I wonder what the reasons behind some animals characteristics like that wart hog has so many lumps and bumps and that long hair, and his face, Whoa! Amazing

Don't you just wonder what God was thinking when he made creatures that look like wart hogs, wildabeasts (sp?) and hyenas??? LOL!!! Good job on catching the many facets of the local wart hog...teeheehee! :)

Yep, you covered them all! I don't think I've ever seen that cutie pie at the zoo. I'll be sure to look for him next time around.

Es una gran belleza de fotografía, con una cámara muy simple, considerando que muchas profesionales ni se acercan a esta nitidez. Depende mucho del ojo y habilidad del fotógrafó. Felicitaciones!!!
