Not that far from Civilization!

Well, my parents recently talked to John about spending the holidays here with us in the beautiful mountains east of Albuquerque. Except they are worried about how far away we are from a hospital and other services. haha!
Ok, so I'm not surprised. You just have to know my stepmom to understand. hehe

Anyway, this one's for you Mom:

All of these have been MapQuest or Google Mapped from our house.
Distances are an average estimate without traffic.

25 mins away
Kaseman Hospital

33 mins away
Lovelace Medical Center

32 mins away
Prespyterian Hospital

28 mins away
UNM Hospital

So, SEE! We are not far out in the boonies and hours away from 'civilized life'.
We can zip into the city now and take less time now than we did when we drove south from Rio Rancho. Traffic is MUCH less now than what we had to drive through in the town of Bernalillo, just to get onto Interstate 25.
Relaxing on RT66 all the way into Albuquerque, because the drive is just gorgeous through the mountains and canyons, especially as the leaves are turning, is the route we almost always take, though there is the faster I-40 as well.

And here is the guest bedroom we have all set up for you. Our first guests, Fufu and Poppop, all the way from California, enjoyed their visit with us, and we hope you do, too.(Oh, and yes it a Queen size bed. We actually had to take down the closet doors because the closet takes up one long wall of the small bedroom. And we wanted to utilize that space better for a queen size bed for our guests)
