But my llamas are a little more spoiled. We let the llamas and goat out of their pen, and they did finally come out and walk in the snow, albeit for a short time.
But they quickly got that out of their systems! haha
My view of Catlinite, in our barn, from our upstairs loft.

Cataleya and her side-kick, Luna waited patiently by the gate for me to come and feed them.

My handsome llama gelding, Catlinite.

My gorgeous llama girl, Cataleya

Silly Catlinite!

I just followed your link from Victoria's site and wanted to say hello - I love the name of your ranch and all your animals!
The place we got our miniature donkey also breeds llamas, and we have had some amazing experiences meeting some of their llamas and discovering (to me, anyway) that they are almost cat-like, but so very focused on human interaction.
Our homeschooling family took a 3-week trip to New Mexico several years ago and explored via rental car your beautiful state. We all fell in love with it, and it's fun to see your family doing there very much what we're doing here!
I love all the photos and laughed out loud about the blues clues footprints. Ha!
Oh, and we have a painted pony too - a 12.2h tovero. Aren't they gorgeous?
Wow! What is it with snow and New Mexico this year? You must be at the highest point of those mountains.
Great photos. Where in NM are you?
Billy,
So nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by!
Funny how it seems we have a few things in common. If you are ever in New Mexico again, please contact me so we can get together.
Nuzzling Muzzles, Tell me about it. I'm used to maybe 1-3 snowfalls, and only one with substantial snowfall. This is an odd winter, but we still do get more snow than those west of the mountains.
We are right at 7,000 ft above sea level. The top of Sandia peak is 10,500 ft, though. So we could be getting a lot more snow! haha
Thanks Scary. We are in te Central mountains of New Mexico, just east of Albuquerque.
I love the llama photos, of course. Catlinite looks so much like Koo and Cataleya is the most beautiful shade of brown. Her fiber looks wonderfully soft. Do you spin? I think I need to learn how.
Hi GoatGirl,
So nice of you to stop by for a visit. And thank you for the wonderful comments, too. I know what you mean about Koo and Cat. They could almsot be brothers! haha
I like Cataleya's coloring too. It feels so silky soft. I can't wait to try my hand at hand-carding and spinning after she is sheared.
I don't know how to do that yet, but I will learn and I'll post all my mistakes on my Blog for you to laugh at! haha
