Pony Girl recently did a blog post asking her readers to show their blogging spaces. And it was alot of fun visiting fellow blogger's homes and trying to imagine them sitting at their beautiful desks and reading fellow blogger's blogs and publishing their own.
So along with that same great idea, I am asking fellow bloggers to share photos of their barns and tack rooms. I'm sure that some of you have probably already done this before on your own, but I hope everyone will join in and post a link or let us know you've posted barn and tack room photos.
So, to start the show, here is a slideshow of my barn and tack room. Remember that you can go back and click on individual photos after the slideshow is over)

What a great set-up you've got. A place for everything and everything in its place!
What are rhythm beads?
I was just thinking, "Gee, I hope no one wants tack room pics, because mine is a pig sty." I've been trying to get it cleaned up and organized for several months now, but more important tasks keep arising. I may just show everyone what it looks like as is and explain the enire miserable history of that room -- and there is quite a story behind it.
Anyway, your barn and tack area are beautiful. Are the New Mexico fires affecting you in any way? We're choking on smoke over here.
Man, that barn is awesome! I'm so jealous.
Great idea, thanks for sharing. We don't really have a barn or a tack room (ha!) but I'll put some pics together of what we DO have, soon!
Your space looks very clean and organized- and has lots of light. I'm impressed!
Cool idea! Your barn looks nice and organized.
I'll try and get some pictures of my barn tonight or on the weekend...
Do you keep food in those plastic buckets? If so, be careful. The mice chewed a hole in the one I used to store bird seed in and it was nasty mess.
Thanks for sharing!
I loved the tour. I cracked up about the microwave for the snacks. Snacks are VERY important for me too.
Very nice tack room, and very organized. I don't know if I will get to pictures, but if I do, there will have to be a major clean-up first! I'll do what I can as soon as I am able.
What a great idea! I don't have the most recent version of Adobe, so I wasn't able to see the photos, but I bet they're beautiful.
Thanks so much for your hilarious comment on my butterfly post: to be honest, I was cutting and pasting words to make sure they were spelled right, too!!!!!
Hi there, I just read your comment on my site about your relationship w/Baby Doll and I just had to write and tell you how touching it was to read! What you wrote reminds me a lot of what my mom is saying about her gelding. She is one year into horse ownership, at age 55. She is a greenie. But she loves her horse more than anything, and especially loves to just hug and smell his horsey smell!!
Today in the saddle I felt like a greenie too, I loped My Boy for the first time since early last winter, before the arena got slippery w/mud. And my spotted pill was crowhoppin' a bit, which kind of scared me and made me feel like i did not know what i was doing, hee! But I think I know the reason, so we'll work on it next time and go from there. But it's nice to know that someone else out there appreciates having a relationship w/their horse. You know, Parelli said on one of the DVD's I have that we evoke the play drive in our cats, dogs, and children, yet people don't build that same fun-loving relationship with their horses. I think horses are a lot bigger than cats and dogs, lol, but, it's a good point regardless.
Have a great weekend!
Hi There,
Come on over and pick up your award!
I finally got some pictures of my barn posted today. You must come see it in person, though, Twinville. And bring your horse and your neighbor, too. There are certainly plenty of places to ride. The road in is not for the faint-hearted, however, especially hauling a horse trailer. Maybe we can time it soon after the next time the grader comes through.
Hi FarmGirl,
Thanks. Rhythm Beads are colorful little bells that clip onto your horse's mane so that they calm you and your horse and also help hear what gait and rhythm you and your horse are in.
Thanks NM. I always love when you stop by. Thanks for sharing the photos of your barn and tack room. Your barn is just awesome! No wonder your horses always look so happy.
And your tack rooms are a fantastic creative use of space. Thanks again for not being embrassed and just sharing the photos and story behind them.
Thanks Christy. It's barely even a barn, but I do appreciate having it. hehe
Aaaww! You're so swet Pony Girl!
I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm sure it'll be great either way.
Hi Laura,
Thanks! I can't wait to see yours, too!
Hi CDees39,
Thanks for stopping by. Our containers are a very thick, strong brand. Not cheap, that's for sure. And we have a couple barn cats who work hard, so we have never had a problem with mice in our barn. We've got them in our garage, though. But Hubby doesn't want the barn cats in our garage, though, so mouse traps end the mice's lives pretty quickly. Thanks for your concern, though.
hahaha SugarCreekStuff. I knew we had a lot on common! Got to have snacks! hehe
Oh thank you, GHM! And I do hope you post some photos of your barn and tack room soon. I know they will be just amazing!
Oh! And thanks for the generous award, too!
Hi K & A,
Thanks for stopping by. I'm so sorry you can't see the photos, but I don't think you need adobe to see them. That's weird. Did a message come up or something?
Thanks again for stopping b again Pony Girl. It means so much and it's also so good to know that even experienced horse riders can sometimes feel like newbies, too.
Oh, and after what you said, I know I like your Mom and bet we'd get along just great. :)
Hi 7MSN!
Wish you could see me over here doing the happy dance! Yay! Val will be so excited, too.
We're going to 7MSN, we're going to 7MSN! wahooo!
Just let us know when the grader has done it's job and we'll be cruising down there. And you just know we plan to bring some goodies down with us, too: what are your favorite munchies, drinks, etc?
Should we bring sleeping bags?
And if the toilet's not fixed then, that's fine, too. I can bring our camping potty. But on the other hand with all your slitherings and spiky cactusy things, it's probably not such a good idea to cowgirl up and potty outside, eh?
Ah well, we can just jimmy a horse trailer bathroom.
hahaha!!
You have a great set up!! I did this over at my blog too!! When I posted it I couldn't remember where I saw the idea!! Pony Girl reminded me it was you!!! I will have to correct my blog!! It was fun giving a tour!! Great idea!!
