~Sultan~: Originally was an Arabic language abstract noun meaning "strength", "authority", "rulership", "authority" and "power".
Sid Vicious, our Golden-Laced, Bearded Polish is the Sultan Roo of Laughing Orca Ranch Coop.

~Minion~: A term used for favorites or protégés, especially those of a monarch or prince. Although of subordinate rank to his patron, a minion is likely to be of noble birth, and is more of a companion and confidant to him than a servant or bodyguard. Mr. Cotton aka Sir Cotton is Sid's subordinate, but because of his Japanese Silky nobility has become Sultan Sid's coop companion and confidant.

As Sultan Sid Vicious sits proudly on his throne, Sir Cotton sits faithfully beside.

"Uh, sir....wake up sir. The paparazzi are still taking PR photos. Sir? Sir!"

Now that is a cute pair!
I can't get over how nice Sid is compared to his look-alike- here on my farm.aka...bad boy rooster.
lol..
Those are some great photos and I do want a silkie now.
Have a great day.
Pam
They look so funny!! Very cute.
That was just too funny! Thank you so much for the first big laugh of the morning!
Tooooo funny!! :) Sid Vicious (er SULTAN Sid Vicious!) is a perfect name for him!
I could never have chickens/roosters that cute. I'd spend all my time just watching them. It's bad enough with our horses.
Dan
You're soooo funny !!!!!
I must say I'm starting to look at my chickens differently now I think I'm looking for a Dolly Parton or a Elizabeth Taylor
I think Sid Vicious is pretty much the most awesome bird alive. So HA! :D
Check my September 5th post, please! :)
OMG!!! They are quite the pair!
If I walked into your chicken coop, I would probably see the two of them sitting there, and do a double take!
How's that birthday hangover doing...lol??!!!
Love your pictures Lisa. I find chickens to be a wonderful subjects. Their feathers are beautiful to photograph. And you can't beat the picture of Sid's stunning topknot. His colors are beautiful.
Please post a new picture of Latte and tell about her. I love minimanchas and am thinking of getting one next year.
Hey GA Farm Woman(Pam), Maybe you got stuck with the Evil Twin?! hehe
Thanks for stopping by. Oh! And you really should get a sily or two. They are just so sweet and soft! :)
Awww, thanks Gudl!
Pamela, I'm so happy to oblige. hehe
Wrensong,
I thought you'd agree. Aren't animals such interesting personalities?
Oh Dan, I know just what you mean. Chickens are much better to watch then fish, though. You should get some. They will lower your blood pressure, relax and calm you, and add a smile to your day :)
Bwahaha! White Lily, Go look! You just never know who you'll find in your chicken coop! :D
Awww Mel, You are just the sweetest girl ever! Thanks :)
And I'm so glad that you enjoy Sid. Wish you could meet him in person someday.
hahah, Melanie! I imagine that if you were here, we'd be sitting together laughing or hineys off at my chickens. We probably wouldn't even need those jello shots. haha!
But the brownies are a must!
Thanks for stopping by. I always love reading your comments :D
Oh thank you, Goatgirl. I'm so pleased that you enjoy my Sid. I agree, too, that chickens are just fascinating subjects to photograph.
And I promise to take some new photos of Latte and post an update very soon. How exciting that we'll both have mini manchas soon :)
I can't believe they get along--two roos!
Sid's comb is wild, but I guess it has to be that way to make way for all that cool "hair".
Love the "roo" doos! LOL Sid is one beautiful rooster, love that top do he has!
