Llamas in the Mist

You’ve heard of the movie Gorillas in the Mist, right? Well, very early this morning I discovered a new movie coming out called Llamas in the Mist, which is a lot like Gorillas in the Mist……except without any gorillas.

The cast includes Cataleya, the curious, gentle and nurturing female llama.

And Catlinite, the gelding guardian llama, and also Cataleya’s half-brother.

And because every good movie must have a horse, please meet the Mysterious Masked Mare, Dakotas Baby Doll.

There will be Guest Appearances by Benny Long Ears.

And pals Sammy Splash and Peter Paint.

The word is that the the three of them starred in the hit TV show, called ‘Charlie’s Geldings’.

The cast also includes an interesting and amusing variety of extras.

And much of the movie has been filmed during a foggy, misty morning on Laughing Orca Ranch.

(Look closely for another cleverly hidden cast member. Can you find, Oreo Cookie?)
(Note: Peter Paint, Sammy Splash and Benny Long Ears aren't mine, though Benny, I'd take home in a heartbeat if I could. These three are equine that live down the road from me)

Are these pictures recent? Fog in the summertime seems odd. Nice shots.

Hey Nuz Muz, Yes, it's odd to ever see fog in New Mexico, but during summer, in our monsoon season, sometimes the conditions are just right for a foggy morning.
You gotta get up mighty early (4:30am! gah!) to experience it before the sun burns off all that fog.

lol! Thanks Ed! But I have you to thank for these series of photos. I was out early in the morning searching for fences for next week's Sunday Stills Challenge, and there just seemed to be photo opps everywhere I looked.

And yes, I did manage to capture some cool fence shots, too! :)

Sure! Everyone has an open invitation to come see Llamas in the Mist and the entire cast of characters.

Kisses are optional. Sometimes bribery helps. lol!

OH!! I am giggling too hard...this t=really was special and the mist truly made the opictures just POP!
AND...I have a memory that makes me smile...my husband and I saw that movie while dating..then sometime later in an EXTREME cold snap in Portalnd. We were doing what we used to do..stop and randomly hike areas together..I dove a 59' Volkswagon Bug...umm can you say NO- HEAT!! We got in it and I proceded to do my cold Noises..and it kinda sounded like...."Gorillas in the Mist"..I said that as Bruce stared at me, in amazement of the weirdo noises coming from me. We CRACKED UP till we cried.
It may be a have- to- be- there- moment...But YOU brought it all back, with your MOVIE!
Thanks, Director Lisa!

Lisa, If I lived were you are Benny would most definitely 'disappear' from his farm and 'mysteriously' reappear on mine!! He's adorable :) Love the pictures - sounds like a great movie!

Look at the teeth Cataleya is showing! Maybe it's a horror flick. ;o)

I like the "Charlie's geldings" thing! And the picture of BD in her fly mask, staring at you, made me think of games like blindman's bluff and pinatas!
