The Ren Fair ~ A Sneak Peek

We’re on our way back up to Santa Fe for a Letterboxing Event, so I decided to create a quick post so y’all could have a sneak peek of our fun day at the Renaissance Fair last weekend.

Great photos! Looks like a fun time was had by all. The kids costumes are darling, and I love the last shot of the family!

There is a big, Ren Fest in east Texas where I grew up. They have permanent grounds and are open all fall. This brought back some memories.

We know who the Queen Mother is in this last photo.

It is not fair that you go to go to the fair! I wanted to go.

Too cool! I love Ren Fest...Miss Chef and I look forward to it all year long. I love that your twinlings dressed up. Now you've inspired me to bring my camera along next month and post some of my own Ren Fest pics!

What a great time! I used to attend the Renn Fest every year in Ontario. There is one here in Des Moines but it's not nearly the same - people don't quite get into the spirit in the same way. I still have my costume from Ontario (although it likely doesn't fit). It used to run for 8 weekends and they built an entire village exclusively for that event. Here it is only for a couple of weekends and no permanent buildings. I loved the vendors and the food and the honey mead. Good times. Thanks for the memories!

What fun! I used to be active in the SCA (a rennaisance group) in college. I still miss the clothes. An old friend used to perform in one here in Texas. He's a swordsman and quite a character... It's amazing what they do on horseback!

What fun! I always wanted to go to one of these, now they are too far away! They have a big one in Muskogee, OK, but it was always held on busy weekends in May so we always missed it.
