This week’s Sunday Stills Challenge was to share photos of birds and bees (or any kind of insect).
Here are mine, all taken at the Albuquerque Botanical Gardens:
Well, you’ve heard of Bees on Knees. How about Bees on Purple Flower Balls?
Anyone care to count the legs?
“I am a Bird.”
“And this is my Bird Foot.”
Let me tell ya ‘bout the birds and the bees……..
(“Um, can we have a little privacy here?”)
Look Closely. Do you see the bee framed in the window?
If you take enough pictures and have plenty of patience, sometimes you just get lucky.

Ok 2 questions, what is the name of that purple flower, it is really pretty! #2, what the heck is that ginomous thing on the arm? Is it dangerous? Your pictures are really good. I am trying to get action shots of Freddy dashing around the yard and I am failing miserably. It's not the camera it's me.
lovely photos lisa
Beautiful shots my friend.
Wonderful photos...again!
Enjoy your blog free time, I want lots of pictures when you return.
Really nice shots as always. My favorite is the pair of butterflies. :)
Great shots! Now enjoy the week and see ya next Sunday..:-))
Stunning pictures, as usual. Loved the bee in the window.
These are wonderful! I love the way you caught the bee in flight!

The last one I LOVE framed in my living room !!!!
As usual, great shots!!
The last two shots are almost like paintings.
nice photos...hope you are enjoying your summer with those wonderful kidlets of yours...
Cool Pics, i really like the first one of the bee on the purple flower
Wonderful shots! The last one is so peaceful and seeing that little bee in the shot made me smile.
Good shots Lisa! :)
My fave snapshot of ALL TIME just might be that duck foot. Or goose foot. Makes me shriek with cuteness, and I marvel over what it was in evolution that made that foot that way. And also, if that creepy crawlie thing the size of a boa constrictor was crawling on me, I am 100% sure I would have fainted dead away. I am not kidding. Even seeing the picture makes my knees give out a little! EEEWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
Omg! I'm not scared of bugs but I wouldn't want that thing with all the legs on my arm!!!
Lisa,
Please please please... what camera are you using????

Ok, there is a lot more than luck going on here, girl! Take some credit for these awesome shots! I know how difficult it is to take photos of bees and I'm very impressed with all your shots. Love them!

Love the butterfly shot, but not crazy about having that "centipede or whatever it is" crawl on my arm, neither. Lucky shot with the bee - great timing!
