Happy Birthday Ranchman John!

 

 

Today is a very special day. For someone very special.

And we want to honor him on this day with our own version of an online, handmade card.

This great guy loves spending time with his family.

 

This very special man has been my husband and best friend for over 23 years.

 

He is a history buff and can tell you the dates of of any Civil War Battle.

(But he sometimes has trouble remembering where he left his keys)

 

He is fascinated with Political Discussion.

(And while watching them on TV is known to call out comments like he’s watching a Football game) 

 

He’s handy to have around the ranch and he doesn’t mind hard work.

 

 

 And he doesn’t mind being cramped and dirty in the chicken house helping me build and install a new roost…..well maybe just a little. 

 

 

He enjoys going camping with his family.

 

 

And he’s always up for a road trip and some Letterboxing.

 

But he’s not crazy about wind…………..

 

 

And he doesn’t really like snow all that much……………

 

 

But a warm, fuzzy hug makes it bearable……………… 

 

After many years of playing Lacrosse himself, he gives back by being a terrific Mentor and Coach to many High School and College Lacrosse Players. 

 

And he’s always willing to jump right in and give helpful instruction.

 

And he still finds time to throw a baseball around with one of his sons in the front yard.

 

He also has the patience and good humor to toss a Lacrosse ball around with his wife. (Me!)

 

His friends know they can count on him. 

 

Some of his friends, although they may live “across the pond”, still stay close to his heart.

  

 

This special man loves animals. And German Shepherds, too.

 

He loves horses so much that he’s first in line to buy tickets when his wife says she wants to see the Royal Lipizzaners’ Performance at the Santa Ana Star Center.

 

This great guy not only doesn’t mind when his wife drinks a monster-sized margarita when he takes her out for dinner (he can’t drink due to medication), he will proudly wear a handmade wooden bead necklace, that says ‘Daddy’ around his neck, too.

 

 

He’s also not embarrassed to silly dance with his daughter, even though he knows I’m video-taping it, and it’ll probably end up my blog. 

 

 

This very special man has always been my strongest supporter for whatever it is that I want to do. Even when I have doubts, he is there encouraging me.

 

And he cleans up good, too. And doesn’t look too bad in a suit.

 

 

But most of all, this very special man is a wonderful friend, husband, and Father. And we love him very much.

He is hard at work today in Phoenix, AZ, making the money that allows us to live this life that we have chosen to live. And we are grateful and thankful for such an awesome man in our lives.

              So, this is for you, honey!
