Our First Snow!

The day of our Open house was breezy but warm. That evening my friends Margie, Jessie and I noticed a Sun Dog (or rather, a "Moon Dog") in the sky, which usually precedes a storm.
The very next day was very cold and by afternoon snow flurries started blowing across the sky and whipping around our house. The snow didn't stick to the ground, but it was coming down thick and fast, so it was very exciting!
The llamas both seemed to be in their own element and acted completely unfazed by the snow and wind.
We did get a thin coating of ice on the fish pond, but the koi just happily swam beneath as if nothing had happened. (Brrr!)

Jeremaih, Jenna and Jackson on our loft balcony with the Manzano Mountains in the background.
Jackson and Jenna goofing off in the grass, in the snow (yes, Jenna is wearing short sleeves and marabou slippers! hehe)
The front of our house with the snow falling.
Our fish pond with the koi under the ice.
The thin layer of ice didn't bother them at all. It bothered me though, and I broke it up, just to make me feel a little better. Maybe my fish would like to wear little jackets? hehe
