Holiday Chickens & Kids

Our friends, Carissa and Tom came by today to take some holiday family photos. Tom is a very talented photographer and we knew he'd take some amazing photos of our family enjoying life in the beautiful mountains on our mini-ranch.
But before they arrived I decided to shoot a couple photos of the kids with some of their favorite chickens.

Jeremiah holding one of our very tame and sweet Speckled Sussex (named "Kipper"). Jenna holding our prettiest chicken, an Ameracauna named "Angelina Ballerina". We are considering showing this one at next year's NM State Fair for 4-H.
Jackson holding one of our pretty Barred Rock chickens, named "Beaulah".Jenna, as usual is very gentle and careful with the chickens.
