Ooooh!! I'm so excited! I took a chance and ordered some pretty, girlie muck boots online at Target and they just arrived the other day. They are so much fun and fit perfectly. They just make me smile! Now I can hand off my ugly black muck boots to my sons (yes they already wear the same size as me. ack!) and I can feel pretty even when I'm ankle deep in mud and animal poop!If you want to see what I bought and get ideas on ordering your own beautiful muck/rain boots check out the link below. Target has over 70 different colors and patterns, too! I ordered a pair of cute kitty cat boots for my daughter. And I just ordered 2 more pairs of boots so I will always have a pair around to wear.
My first pair above are an orange flower print. And then the second and third pairs of boots that I just ordered are a leopard print (meow!) and an adorable brightly colored cherry print. I'm so excited!!
Target Rain Boots
On another note, relating to mucking and animal poop: Yesterday a nice lady from Freecycle who was looking for alpaca or llama poop for her garden, dropped by and gathered up two wheelbarrow full loads of our llama's poop! Feels so good to know that our llamas are helping someone grow a healthy garden full of veggies to feed a family.

You and my daughter are similar in personality -- you both buy clothes based on their fun factor. I once had a next door neighbor who wanted my horse manure. It was convenient, because she was on the other side of the fence where the horses most often pooped, so I just shoveled it over the fence! The neighbor who moved in after that wanted all the river rock I was digging up while fertilizing and planting my pasture. I took three wheelbarrows full over to his place and gave up. It was too much work and not good for my back. He couldn't do it himself because his back was worse off than mine.

I love your boots! I've got a pair of light blue ones with flowers but they are a little big. I'll have to check Target and see if they have half sizes and get a pair for my son too.
I love the "Girly" mucky boots!! My girls live in theirs. I haven't gotten myself a pair yet, so I'll head on over to Target and see if I can find something I like. I'm ready for Spring and I sure could use them!!

Hi Nuzzling Muzzles, thanks for stopping by. In all honesty, I typically don't buy clothing based on the fun factor, but I do like fun accessories. All of my clothes tend to be boring and simple, but when I go out I like to dress them up just a bit. But muck boots are very boring and ugly, so being able to buy some that bring some cheer even when covered in mud and poop will be ray of sunshine!
How terrific that you had a next door neighbor who wanted your manure! And they had it easy that you did most of the work getting it into their yard.

Hi Christy, Where'd ya get your blue flower boots? They sounds pretty! Maybe you can post a pic on your blog, too. I'd love to see them. The Target boots are also sized a bit large, but that's good for me because I typically wear a size 10 1/2 and these boots are a size 10, but are very very roomy. I can wear socks and they fit perfectly.
If you order from Target, you may want to order a size down, unless you intend to wear heavy socks inside.
