Settled In

Luna has been on our ranch for several weeks now and has truly settled in. She is so much fun to watch when she skips and hops happily and so sweet and gentle when she comes up to place her head in my hand and nuzzle me. Both of the llamas have accepted her now and seem to enjoy her, or at least expect Luna to browse and walk with them and settle in at night in their pens.
Surprisingly, even Catlinite has softened with Luna and doesn't sem to mind if Luna gets close and in his space.

Good morning! It's nice to see another early riser online already.

Luna looks right at home. We had an angora goat named Clara for a few months. She'd been an only goat who was allowed to sleep in the entryway at the farm she came from. She'd push through the fence without being zapped and then push by people when the door opened. She was determined to be a house goat. We couldn't keep her because she was pushing little kids around.

Hi Robin,
Thanks for stopping by! I'm sorry that it didn't work out for your Angora. From my own experience, it does seem that angoras are gregarious and super friendly. Luna is like that, but she also has this lovely gentle, sweet side, too. Last night I sat beside her and stroked her face until she fell asleep with her chin in my hand.

Sugarcreekfarm,
Thanks! She is adorable, isn't she? This week she will finally have a friend or two, of her own kind! Wahoo!

I'm glad it is working out so well with Luna. Sounds like she deserved a good life.

Thanks Christy,
She seems very happy to be here. I hope that by giving her a couple of buddy goats, she will be even more happy.
