My Blogging Space

The past few days I've been touring other people's blogging spaces, thanks to Pony Girl who came up with the great idea to share with fellow bloggers where we spend our time keeping up with our favorite blogs.

And because, as soon as you look at her blog space, you're considered tagged, I've taken some photos of my own space to share. Of course, since I've used up all my photo space on Blogger, I've created a SlideShow via PhotoBucket instead.

My desk is pretty simple mostly: a computer, printer, some papers/files, a mega coffee table book full of gorgeous horse photos (gift from my sweet hubby), a chicken tile I handmade, a coyote jawbone found while Letterboxing, a photo of a little cafe in a place I love, Sierra Madre, CA, a horse card, a llama and horse figurine (thanks to my 5 yr old daughter), a US flag from my Mother's Navy Funeral Service, a cup of Earl Grey tea and a glass of water.

I have a laptop, too, but I spilled some coke on it last year and some of the keys are sticky now, so I've 'leased' it to my understanding and forgiving hubby, and he keeps it on his desk.

Anyway, all of my stuff sits on my Ikea desk, which we bought in Utah last year. I must share that I love having my own desk. This desk is my first 'big girl' desk which I don't have to share with kids or hubby. We used to only have one desk that our entire family would share. It was always such a mess and so cluttered, often with icky stuff that I didn't want to know about. With two 11 yr old boys, a toddler and a hubby all using the desk, too, it was inevitable.
But when we moved into this house, I made sure that each person had their very own desk. Did I mention I love my desk?

Ok, so I'm finally going to stop gabbing and let you see my blogging space:

If it's not too much to ask, Twinville -- details, please, on the flag from your Mother's Navy funeral service? (Or a link to earlier posts where you might have chatted about mom?) What a wonderful tribute to her!

Nice to see where you do your blogging. I didn't know there was a limit with blogger on photos.

I know the feeling of elation when you do finally get your own space. Years ago every time I cleared a surface to work on some project, someone else would take it away. My husband was using our son's bedroom as his office until I cleared a spot in the great room. Now we finally have it all organized so that each of us has our own space. My favorite space is the horse trailer, though.

Thanks so much for you comments. Your latest comment made my day.

Very neat desk. I'm glad you finally got your own, it's no fun sharing,I know about that first hand.

That is a great desk! It is special to you, I can tell. Thanks for sharing your space. I really like it, great view! I think my sister got that big book you have on your desk for Christmas last year! I will have to have her check it out.
Hey, I did not know you can fill up photo space on blogger? Is that mentioned on blogger some place? I always post a lot of photos. You've had your blog since 2006, a lot longer than mine but still....that is kind of a bummer. I wonder if all blog hosts are like that?

Hi Twin,

Thanks for the advice and opening up to me on my blog. I appreciate your honesty. We changed our blog to Farm Speed Ahead. I hope you still visit us. I love your blogging space! Very nice:)

Okay, I thought we were soul-sisters living in parallel universes or something. Take a look at my blog space and you'll see we differ in one area. ;)

Hi Kathleen,
Thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving a comment. My Mother died when I was 8 yrs old. and though I would love to tell you more about that flag and it's history, it's still a very painful and personal part of my life.

Hi Peggy,
Thanks for visiting. Yes there is a limit and somehow I suppose after 2 years of bloggin, I've surpassed it.

Hi NM,
Thanks for visiting. I always love it when you do. Your horse trailer 'office/tack room' is awesome!

Hi GHM,
Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad to know that I wasn't just being selfish. haha

Hi Pony Girl.
Thanks for visiting my blog and I'm glad you like my blog space. It was fun to share it and see other's spaces, too. Thanks!
Yes, it's a bummer that Blogger has a limit. I had no idea either until I tried to upload some photos and the warning note popped up to check my Picassa Photo Album site and it would show me what my space left was. It was zero. wah.
I still can't believe that in 2 years I posted between 3,000 and 4,000 photos! Egads!

Hi Regina,
I tried to visit you and your new blog site and tried to find you at your old site, but it kept telling me I wasn't an approved blog poster. I am bummed. I really miss visiting your blog and catching up with your critter journey and I wanted to see how all the goat shows went, too.
I'm gearing up for the SW Nigerian Goat Show in 2 weeks. Moon Pie will have his chance in the wether class.
Please let me know when you get your blog up and running again, ok?

Hi Ceecee,
Yes, we do seem to hvae muco in common. Are you referring to your beautiful desk covered in artful and meaningful knick knacks, wheras mine seems to be lacking any character at all?
I admit that I'm a serious neat freak, but I can't admit that my space is clean. haha

Everyone please disregard any spelling snafus. My fingers type faster than my brain can think...and I'm too lazy to go back and look for mistakes.
Thanks for your everlasting patience!
