Happy Birthday Chickens!!!!

The Cake was baked and decorated. The girls were so excited to see their cake and celebrate their First Birthday!!
Come join the Poultry Party and help us celebrate our hens' first birthday!!

Our girls were absolutely thrilled with their cake.Their was some mixing and partying going on among all the chickens. Even Mr. Cotton, only 5 months old, but quite handsome, enjoyed the celebrations. And Sid Vicious stopped crowing to enjoy a few bites of birthday cake, too.
They made quick work of their birthday cake. I don't think I've ever seen a birthday cake disappear that fast. And now our girls are officially hens, not pullets anymore. I'm still amazed that an entire year has gone by, and all 13 of our chickens survived my beginner attempts at being a Farm Girl.
Happy Birthday Betty and Beaulah, Myrtle and Annie, Rhoda and Rita, Suzie and Salina, Brownie and Bella, Spotty Dotty and Kipper, and Angelina Ballerina!!!

That is too cute! Who knew chickens could be so spoiled rotten?? I can only imagine the cake Baby Doll will get on her birthday?! I wish I could live on your farm, I'm sure My Boy does, too! ;)

What a raucous party! Some of those chickens looked a bit tipsy. Are you sure you didn't spike the cake? I love your kids' enthusiasm.

Okay, Sweetie, you know this is not normal behavior, right? And you have spoken to a professional about it? Yikes! And people made fun of my daughter for throwing a birthday party for her puppy! You are too cute! Love it!

Χρόνια πολλά κοτόπουλα!

Sorry, today was Greek class and this is something I could actually say in Greek (its "Happy birthday chickens!") lol Nice to have an easy, useful phrase after frying my brain with future tense verbs.

Happy Birdy two Ewes,
Happy Birdy two Ewes,
Happy Birdy, dear Chickens,
Happy Birdy two Ewes!

Got a birthday card with this in it once--of course there were chickens and a couple sheep in it. Now all you need is pics of your sheep.

Beautiful cake, btw. Congrats on having them all survive. I was lucky and had mine all survive on my first try as well.

You just have to love a woman who gives her chickens a birthday party.
Just letting you know I gave you an award if you'd like to go to my blog and get it.
Keep the posts coming, they make me smile.

What a great cake! And an excellent celebrity shot of Sid. Catlinite still has my heart, but Sid is definitely a gorgeous hunk of feathers.

What a happy family you are--chickens and all! I must honestly admit that you put more effort into your chickens' birthday than I did to my three year old's. Sad!

Glad they enjoyed getting older. I bet the rooster is relived they're all legal now.

Hahaha!!! You crack me up!! I had never been to a chicken's birthday party before - so thanks for enlightening me!! I had a blast and "Sid Vicious" - I love his "do"!! - I think I saw him in concert once, back in the late 70's!! Not sure...so many things I don't remember from those days. Anyway, the cake looked absolutely beautiful and your ladies are lovely. Thanks for the invite girl!

Your my kind of gal to find any excuse to make cake. I like less scratch grains on mine and more chocolate. I'm just saying. ;-)
