All those piggies kept us busy feeding, cleaning cages, brushing, bathing, clipping nails, holding and cuddling and setting them up for playtime on the floor.
I used to take some of them with me to the park each week, to not only showcase them to find them new homes, but also to educate the public on small animal and guinea pig care.
That was a few years ago and I'm not taking in anymore piggies, but we still have a few piggies that call Laughing Orca Ranch their home. So without further ado, let me introduce:
Jelly Bean, a sweet and curious little short hair American guinea pig male. He is probably a crested pig, as well, but it's hard to tell since the crest blends into the rest of his white back.
Here's Jelly Bean again, begging for a treat, along with his very shy brother, Licorice, who is a white crested male American short haired guinea pig.
And this is Truffle, our lone female piggy, an American short haired piggy. She is very sweet and loves to be held and carried around.
Check out those piggy lips! Is there anything cuter?!
Another cute set of lips on our white Abyssinian male guinea pig. Coconut a true lover and is our senior piggy. Sitting on someone's lap, or against my chest are his favorite places to be. He likes to hang out with me while I'm on the computer.
Peek-a-Boo Licorice!
"Go away lady! I'd like some privacy here!"
So there ya have it. Our piggies. And of course, I'm sure you noticed what colors they are, too. We do love us some orca colored critters around here!

My oldest granddaughter has a guinea pig and his name is Snick. He is adorable and I learned very quickly that squeal you were talking about when you open the refrigerator. Hilarious. I get to take care of not only my little granddaughters but their pets as well when their dad is gone. I love your Abyssinian piggy. What an unusual looking one.
Awww, how adorable. They sound like they are fun too.
How wonderful of you to take in so many. My first animal gift from my hubby was a long haired one. She was so much fun. I remember the beggar routine well. Thanks for sharing the pictures. They are so cute.
Very cute little piggies, does the old white male have a name? or do you just name the orca colored ones? He he he
We love guinea pigs here too! Rascal (Ratface) is my girls pet, I have a contact allergy so if I hold him, he is wrapped in a towel. :-(
They do make great pets. Easy care, friendly and THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT!
Your little piggies are so cute.
Here piggy, piggy, piggy.
Those piggy lips look very prim and proper.
Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Those lips are priceless!!!! I am sitting here imagining you planting a big 'ole kiss on them right no...lol!!!
I did notice their coloring as well...you better get a Dalmation or a Border Collie next...teeheehee!!
Grey Wolf! haha! You're right. How silly of me. His name is Coconut and I just went and added his name. Chalk it up to blogging when my head should have been on the pillow! haha
Thanks Egghead, Grey Horse Matters, Grammy, Sugarcreekstuff, Dan and Betty, Melanie and Grey Wolf for such wonderful comments. I'm glad you enjoyed my piggy photos, too :)

They are just adorable!
Piggies!!! I LOVE THE PIGGIES!! I love their squeaks too, they are so dang cute!!! I had them as a kid, and Mercy had one for a while, but it developed big cysts and eventually died (I did call my vet, who had no idea what to do about the cysts)
But your post brings back memories. They are the sweetest, most personable little creatures. Makes me want to get another one :)
We used to have guinea pigs, we loved them! They are so cuddly and cute. With the cats now we haven't gotten any piggies.
Awww, so cute! I like guinea pigs. I didn't know you had some! What other animals are you hiding?! :-P
I've never had any of the "small animal" pets (guineas, hamsters, lizards, etc) but I do admire them when I'm at the pet store.
Are they very interactive pets or do they prefer to just be looked at?
Also, how the little man doing? I meant to ask before if his stitches are disolvable or if they'll have to be removed? (I'm such a baby, I got my mommy to take my stitches out this spring... even though hubby offered. lol)
That is so cool that you did piggy rescue! All your piggies are adorable. How old is Coconut?
Those are some way cute piggies!! That last picture is kinda scary, with the tooth showing. Do they only have one tooth on the bottom? If so, that sure makes it easy to floss!! LOL!!
I think Jelly bean is adorable!!
I had no idea that you had guinea piggies! :) I love making animal noises and guinea pigs are one of my favorites! (I even had this friend say they would like to get me drunk sometime to hear me do my animal noises....one of my best friends told them "she doesn't need alcohol for that!!") ;) Thanks for sharing some great piggie photos!
Ooooo....I'm in love. I've never had guinea pigs as companions, although anyone I've ever spoken to who has, tells me they're wonderful and have loads of personality. One of these days, perhaps, when I have my farm. They are too adorable and I'm a pushover for anything that loves to cuddle. Love those lips!!
Great piggy post, love the lips! My grandaughters each have a piggy..interesting little creatures for sure! Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on my blog! It is nice to meet ya!:)
I have a girlfriend who is a teacher. Every summer we babysit her class piggy. Her dog at home thinks pigs are for snacking on, and so we end up as his B&B every summer.
I love their 'wweee, weeee, weeeee' sound when you come into the room or open the refrigerator. :0)
Yours are beautiful, especially the one with the black face(Jelly Bean). I've never seen one like that before.
We love our piggy, Munchkin. The only part of having piggies I don't like is nail trimming. I worry about cutting too close. I'm going to try one of those new automatic round nail file thingies to see if that helps me. Gotta love the WHEET! when the fridge opens. Or the dog bone bag crinkles (and she doesn't even get dog bones). Or you make a noise that sounds like a carrot snapping....or...or....you know what I mean!
How cute! I didn't realize you had so many animals at laughing Orca. They are definitely living at the right place!
You were a guinea pig rescuer??? Okay, you are definitely my friend for life. I'm a guinea pig fanatic. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to the little guys, so I have to admire them from a distance. There are a few small critters I have to avoid. When I was in California, I did not have an allergy to them, but in Nevada I do. I think the difference is that the humidity in California kept the dander at bay.
How adorable! Now I an see our farm has truly missed something ... Guinea Pigs! Clever names, by the way!
Many thanks for your commenting on my rescue horse. Each day with him is ... one more day! But I think he is going to make it!
ahh, i love your piggies! is there anything you don't do?!
one question, how do they smell? i thought i heard that guinea pigs are a little hard to live w/ for that reason. am i wrong?
