Happy Independence Day!

Val’s (Fantastyk Voyage) mare Annie, and her filly, Yalla!

Baby Doll is still around and just as stubborn and as sour as usual. Val is doing her best at trying to give my mare an attitude adjustment.

May your day be filled with family, friends, good food, beautiful weather, fun times, and lots of patriotic spirit!

Val and I have made plans to drive up to her cabin in northern New Mexico for some quiet holiday celebrations this weekend. We’ll be doing a little bit of exploring, some letterboxing, lots of laughing, munching yummy food, sipping liquid libations, and enjoying some time away from the stresses of life. You can virtually visit Val’s cabin by clicking on Fantastyk Voyage Cabin.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I'm glad to hear Val is working with Baby Doll. From what you've said it sounds like she (Val) is really good with her (BD). I hope you guys are able to get the results you are hoping for!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend getaway! We are going to BBQ Sat and go for a drive on Sun.

I have to keep the horse inside during the fireworks! or they run to much.We have a lot of fireworks in the neighborhood.

Beautiful pictures. The cabin trip sounds fabulous! I wish someone in my family had a beach cabin!! Have a great time and we want to hear how it went when you get back (unless "what happens at the cabin stays at the cabin....LOL!" :)

What beautiful pictures, I know I say this every time, but they are just so great! Have a wonderful fourth and keep on posting about the little filly I cant wait to watch her grow...poor BD...I wonder whats gotten into her thats lasted so long....patience is a virtue they say...something i couldnt do with our mare that was so rank....she is in a better home with people who know how to deal with her, I just wasnt experienced enough to do so...*sigh*

Hope y'all have a great time! Sounds like BD needs lots of wet blankets. Hopefully, Val can keep tuning her up for either you or to help get her sold.

PS- Independence Day should have been on July 2nd according to John Adams. That was the day they approved the resolution of independence in Congress. So, I guess as far as posting early, you're covered! ;)

Great photos, as usual! Especially airborne Annie! Look at that halter on Yalla! The brass fittings are so big! (Hmmm, you took my idea of the neighbor's flag and ran with it! That's okay, my photos are still going to post tomorrow. ;)) Doesn't that end of the arena look green? Wow, I love it even if it is weeds!

Awww, Baby Doll did drop her head a few minutes later. She was actually working pretty well, considering she hasn't been ridden for a while. I think she needs a good workout regularly to get her back with the program. You should have gotten a side view to show how CLEAN she was.

I hope you guys got a chance to go up to Val's cabin!! Sounds like fun!! Great shots! And Baby Doll, what a dork. She'll get it eventually. Keep on working with her. My mare was 10 when I got her and she was a complete boob. But I worked her and worked her and it paid off! Keep on working!!
