Around here, I know people, whose horses graze in fields right by the road, have drivers stop and ask why the horses have blindfolds on. They seem to think it's very cruel.

Is that Rosie with your Apache at your farm there??

That's funny! I just posted a picture of a horse wearing a mask. Yours are better.

Wait a sec! That's PLURAL! I think I recognize the one with the spots sneaking out (along with the tongue), but...
Is that a dorsal stripe? Yes, I think it is! Could that be the dorsal stripe you followed around the Carson National Forest? Did it follow you home? Is Bella visiting?

Hi Lisa,
Thought I would stop by and say hello! I haven't been around much lately....love the pics! What kind of fly masks are those...they look brand new!? Could not make out the print on them? How's your riding going? I'll have to read up! Have a great day!

Those are so cute! Even the husband laughed and he prefers to avoid horses if he can, lol.

Great photos, Lisa. Down the road from my house, the horses are wearing these. Trying to talk with them is like trying to talk with someone who is wearing sunglasses--very disconcerting when you can't see their eyes and gauge their reaction to the conversation!

Stars fly makse is the full down to the nose one, she looks like Darth Vader;)

Just catching up on your blog; (my internet is slow right now, and not all of your photos are downloading) instead of commenting on every post, I'll do it all here. It sounds like you had what I call a "quality wilderness experience" and even though your beloved Apache came up lame,(I hope she is all better soon!)you still had a fabulous time. There is nothing like good company, good terrain, good weather, and a good horse to ride. Lucky you! I haven't had Beamer out on a real trail ride yet this year. But we're still having fun!

Thank god for fly masks that's for sure, especially around this time of the year.
