Sunday Stills ~ Metal

A metal sculpture located within Old Town in Albuquerque, NM. Just goes to prove that one shouldn’t always look straight ahead. There are interesting things to see below and above us, too. I hope I never look up during a hike to find a lion above my head, though.

My daughter Jen trying on some metal Spanish Conquistador armour while visiting the Coronado State Monument in Bernalillo, NM.

It was immensely heavy! Jen was trying to smile but grimacing instead, asking me if I was done taking photos, so we could remove the heavy metal armour.

Metal horse shoes in the back of my farrier’s metal truck.

My farrier working on Apache’s feet. Apache’s hoof is resting on a metal Hoof Stand while my farrier smooths her hoof with a metal rasp.

Located not far from our house, a metal sign. The home owner’s name and house number is below the horses and mountain scene.

(Taken from my archives last winter) A metal custom-made driveway gate just down the road from our house. The homeowners rarely close their gate, but when the gate is closed, the two ginormous 8 foot tall horse heads are very impressive and make a huge statement. I liked the red holiday bows decorated for Christmas and just had to take a photo.

Check out Sunday Stills to have a peek at what other folks have come up with this week, too.

Wow, love what you came up with. Can't imagine soliers in the olden days riding horses and generally athletic in that heavy metal armor. :)
