This video is of my Golden-Laced Polish Hen, Phyllis Diller. I had been watching her for at least 5 minutes before it occurred to me video tape her. She was so focused on grooming and reminded me of a cat. And her bouffant head reminded me of a dust mop. hah!

Well, with a lovely outfit like that, I can see why she'd spend so much time keeping it proper. I mean, did you see that black hen that wandered through? Her tail feathers were just a sight! cluck, cluck, cackle, cackle... ;)
Love all the pauses--It's almost as if she is trying to re-establish equilibrium after every few seconds of twirling that "mop" around!
Oh, that wonderful hairdo! She was so fun to watch. Thank you for sharing her with us.

She really gave herself a good grooming! I love to watch our chickens when the get so into their "bath" that they forget we are even there.
she is pretty, i love how her reddish feathers are tipped in white.
but how does she get her head feathers clean???
