This week’s Sunday Stills Challenge is to share photos of subjects that are the color blue.
Most of these photos are from my archives. I’m sorry about that, but I’ve been in such a funk all week, that I had no motivation for photography. I guess you could say that I’ve been blue……
The colorful blue theme did help lift my spirits, though.
This Albuquerque icon is called “Chevy on a Stick”. And it is also blue.
“The Wrath of Grapes” is a blue ‘book’ above a bar in Albuquerque.
This mural in Albuquerque shows a Native American in a blue dress.
Señora de Guadalupe’s cloak is blue.
Our Equine Veterinarian’s clinic is blue. And so is our GMC Truck. Our horse trailer is not.
The Buffalo Balloon is blue.
And we can’t forget good ‘ol Red, White and Blue
My Japanese Silky Rooster, Mr. Cotton’s earlobes are blue.
The post and sign in front of our ranch are blue. Catlinite, our gelding llama is not.

Sorry that you've been feeling blue - I feel ya sister.
New Mexico is so beautiful!! Your pictures always amaze me, old or new! LOL
Urrr. My son restarted the router right as I finished my comments and I don't think they went thru.
Sorry you are in a funk & hpe you are feeling better now. I stop by often, but don't usually comment as the firewall at work prevents it. Miss "chatting" with you.
Love the picture of the blue sky with the flag balloon. Very nice.
Oh Lisa , sorry to read you are in a funk, hope it is a short one.Is there anything i/we can do? The photos are great, you live in such a spectacular and intersting area!
Love the chevy..great selections:)
the library shop photo is really cool, i liked those massive books :)
daniel & i both like the hot air balloon shot too
Your farm sign is spectacular... A lot of blue out there.
Nice pics especially the baloon.
that is quite an interesting assortment! You have such a wonderful area to photograph!
Yours was the first link I clicked on. Looks like you hit a homerun with your pictures. Nice play on words with the books. Love the balloon shot.
You know, I'll be if you brought you photographs to the attention of the Albuquerque Dept. of Tourism, they'd be interested in using them in their brochures and advertisements. They certainly make me want to visit the area. I love that businesses incorporate art into their architecture. I love the idea that people in New Mexico think outside of the box when it comes to building boxes.
I've been blue too and contemplated taking a picture of me. I still haven't taken my pics, but I'm sure I will sometime before the end of the day. I woke from a nightmare in which I was stuck in China where everything was red and I couldn't take pictures of anything blue. Then I remembered that no one was home to feed and water the animals and I started crying because I thought they were dead. Sniff. But then of course I woke up and realized it was all a bad dream.
You always find such neat things to photograph. I had a good laugh at the titles of the books above the bar.
I like thee ranch shot with the llama.
What an eclectic selection of 'blue'! Love the Chevy on a Stick. Some day I will need to stop in Aluquerque and visit, instead of driving through on I-25 and I-40!
Great variety of pictures!
Lovely pictures, as always! The Library Bar and Grill picture cracks me up!
Well done. As always :-).
I love the Library Bar & Grill shot...really unique.
great blues...
I love the giant books, those are so neat!!
This English Major loves the giant books.
What a great selection of photos. Gotta love the car on a stick.
This post is so entertaining! I don't mind that you pulled these snaps from your files--they are AWESOME! Maybe you have the springtime blues. you, know, I think spring really slays people emotionally. there's too much going on. It gets chaotic! Weird things happen that can through your personal orbit out of whack! But don't worry, April is well on its way!!!
Gorgeous pictures!
NuzMuz I'm with you. I've been feeling blue too and had no motivation to take pictures. I actually considered taking pictures of myself too lol! I wonder why we're all in a funk. Maybe it's the weather. It got cold here again and has been cloudy for several days. Hope everyone is feeling better. :)
I'd never know you were blue with such cute quips with the pics.
Hope you feel sunny soon!
Wow, your photos make me miss the Southwest! I agree with NM-your photos would look amazing on brochures!
The buffalo balloon rocks!!! I also love the rooster ear lobes. Great catches!
Blue is my least favorite color unless it's the sky but somehow the blues in New Mexico are more scrumptious. I like the first photos with the car and tiles. I hope you are feeling better.
All great "Blue" choices. I always like your Albuquerque shots. :)
Great photos! I hope your spirits lift soon.
Nice selection & photos, what a fun place to live. Feel better.
