The kidlets and I are on our way out for a road trip to western New Mexico where we’ll be camping and hiking with my twinling’s Boy Scout troop this weekend.
So, until we get back, I’m leaving you with a couple photos I took last weekend while exploring and letterboxing in Old Town.
Dogs are very welcome in most of New Mexico, and you will see them just about everywhere strolling along with their humans. And while some people like to People Watch, I have found Dog Watching to be lots of fun, too.

Great photos! I love dog friendly places:)
Enjoy your trip, and love the glasses.
Love, love, love spaniels but those shades are pretty cool too :) Have a great weekend.
do you have a house/pet sitter? who takes care of your farm when you are gone?
do dogs go into the shops too in NM? dogs have the same rights as people here. they are liability insured, aren't neutered, and poop on the sidewalk with no scoop law. we have dogs in restaurants, malls, the post office.... one thing germany does not have is stray dogs running around, or an overpopulation problem. it's a good place to be a dog.
Great shots.
May you have a spectacular weekend.
adorable...have a fun camping trip...
Dog friendly places are at the top of our list! Sadly, NV doesn't have many of them!
The doggie in the glasses is hilarious!
Have a great weekend!
Very cute. The little one wearing the shades is adorable. I agree with you, dog watching is a lot of fun.
These photos made me smile. I read somewhere that New Mexico is a dog friendly area. I think the study actually gave a specific city. One more reason to get my butt to that state one of these years. I hope you are having (or had) a good camping trip.
Nice,,:-)
Super! But, where's Dobbie?
I left Dobbie at home that day because right after visiting Old Town we headed over to the zoo for the rest of the afternoon. It was way too hot to leave her in the car while we were in the zoo.
