It seems I’m still back-logged with all the events and rides I’ve been doing the past couple months. So here I am blogging about a Mother’s Day Fun Day event held at 4 Winds Equestrian Center last month.
Great cake to say farewell to one of 4 Winds boarders.
Every month 4 Winds has a potluck and play day for all their boarders, friends and family. Potlucks are usually held on the Sky Box inside the Indoor Arena.
Sometimes we have fun games to play and sometimes we just go for a relaxing trail ride through 4 Winds beautiful 200 acres.
This day we also had one of the ponds to play in.
Colleen’s horse Pepper loves to play in the water.
I didn’t ask Apache to go in the pond because I know how much she loves water…and mud. And I knew it would be too much temptation for her to lie down in it. And it would have been kind of mean not to let her.
So, I took photos of everyone else instead.
This gal’s horse wanted to lie down in the water so badly. She almost didn’t convince him not to.
After the pond play, we went to search for the small herd of cows that had just been delivered to 4 Winds that morning.
Great folks to ride with at 4 Winds Equestrian Center.
Aha! We found the cows!!!
Apache loves cows and she really wanted to get closer, but Colleen wanted us to stay back so the cows could settle in and stay calm.
So we rode over to the Indoor Arena to practice Drill Team patterns instead.
Apache and I participated for about 20 minutes, but she was a little gimpy and arena stuff is just not our thing, so we took photos of everyone else instead.
They were looking pretty good!
My silly girl!
It was getting pretty hot…time for a water break!!
Afterwards. it was time to hang out and let our ponies graze on the grass outside the indoor arena.
Then 3 of us decided to head out to the outdoor arena to play around for a little while.
Linda and her boy Bandit.
Just me and my Apache girl!
We had a fun day!
Life is Good!
