Today's post will be fairly short. Sitting up is challenging to do without feeling dizzy. You see, my dear readers, I spent a scary Friday night and most of Saturday in the hospital, due to alot of pain that made me feel like I might die. I'm on alot of medication right now and am mostly bedbound, but I wanted to check in briefly to update the blog with info about my upcoming blog challenge, that I hope many of you will participate in.
The Alphabetical Blog Challenge: 26 Letters in 26 Days is basically a challenge for me and a contest for my readers. I will be posting about one letter each day, including a photo, taken somewhere on our ranch or in New Mexico.
My readers' challenge is to post a comment including a word beginning with the letter of the day. And at the end of the contest, to compile all 26 of the Letter of the Day subjects, and post them as a blog contest entry.
There will be a pretty nice award for the winner: A hand-made hat and scarf set!
This is not the scarf and hat set, but rather one I just finished for a friend (shhh!), but you can get an idea of what you'll be receiving. I call this one the 'Turquoise Camel' because both pieces are made with a camel/alpaca/sheep/cotton blend.

But this is the yarn I chose for the hat and scarf set contest winner! A beautifully warm, cream Icelandic Wool and a lovely, soft turquoise Mohair (angora) blend.

I hope you all will join me in the Alphabetical Blog Challenge.
Contest starts Monday, November 24!!

Feel better soon.
Miss Lisa- get better FAST! We will keep you in our prayers here in our corner of the Southland, and hope to hear soon from you that you are up and going strong again, with no major issues left to deal with.
The colors are BEAUTIFUL. I'll be sure to do my best to participate in your contest!!
You really are a blogger-extraortinaire rising from your bed of pain to tell us about your contest! In my book, you should be getting a prize:) I'm sending all my best vibes and wishes for your speedy recovery.
The contest sounds fun and the prize is one to covet!
Lisa! I hope you'll be better soon!:(
You have me worried now...
I plan on attempting your challenge, as I would love to win your hat and scarf. Please take care...Tammy
its soooooooo cool how you make those hats, and yes, they are very beautiful!
i went to a vendor thing yesterday, and saw like 4 stands with hats like that, selling for a lot! (at least in my opinion a lot for a hat)... man!
I too would like to say that I hope you're soon feeling better and I am wondering what happened too. First thing that came to mind was that you might have taken a fall off Baby Doll. I sure hope you're OK!
FEEL BETTER SOON!!!! I'm having a hard time imagining you're doing a post when you've been that sick.
Beautiful hat and scarf!
Oh sweet, hope that you can overcome your illness quickly!
I love those colors...blue is my color....
Count me in..love to join in the fun!

Stay in bed and get better fast so you can tell us what happened!
I will try to play this game...it sounds like fun. School may get in the way though...lol!!!
Sending you lots of healing thoughts....
Oh my, I hope you're going to be okay!
Lee had 'gonna die' pain last year---turned out to be kidney stones.
I hope you'll be back to yourself soon and feeling better.
Lisa,
So sorry to hear you felt so bad. Bummer! I hope you're all over whatever it was causing your pain.
Neat idea for a blog contest. Your scarf set is quite lovely.
Lisa, you'll be in my prayers.
I wanted you to know that Betty and I are driving over to see Lorie and "King" tomorrow, Monday. We plan to get to Lorie's place about 2:30 PM. We've told Lorie that we won't do anything until after the first of the year, but King looked great and we wanted to see him up close and personal.
I'll have to pass on your contest as we'll be out of town for the latter part of December to visit family for Christmas, but it sounds like a lot of fun. I'll catch up on the winner when we return.
I pray God's healing be upon you in a big way.
Regards,
Dan
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. This sounds like an interesting challenge/contest.
