Sunday Stills ~ Orange

I’m sorry I’ve been MIA over at Sunday Stills, but I’ve had a lot going on around here. And now I’m back!

This week’s challenge is the color orange.

I had to go back into my archives because most of what I’ve been seeing this past week has been the color white….as in that dreadfully horrible ‘S’ word. (snow!)

So, here’s what I came up with:

                          My dog, Dobbie Girl.

My Wild Tribe: Husband-Ranchman John, twinlings-Jax and Jem, and the birthday girl, Jenna.

Driving east on I-40 into Albuquerque with the Sandia Mountains as a backdrop. I live on the other side of that mountain ridge. Rain on my windshield. Orange trailer truck, orange barrels.

The New Mexico Mounted Search and Rescue(NMSAR) during a local parade. My friend Matt rides the handsome Clydesdale.

Great shots Lisa...especially the one with your pup. Is that darn snow still hanging on?

Lots of orange in your archives! Great shots but I think my favorite is the family shot.

Your little Dobbie makes me smile every time.

That little black horse doesn't look too happy. The guy looks like if he straightened out his legs, he could walk with the horse still under him.

Ranchman John looks outnumbered.

I said yesterday that it rained all day. It changed to snow when I was feeding last night. We didn't get much but it was windy and so it looks like more in places.

I loved them all, Lisa. I like the truck myself! Dobbie was pretty cute too!

Awww...I love the Dobbie pic! Cindy Sue needs a lil' sweater like that to wear around the house!

The birthday party photo is a winner too...what a bunch of hams you've got!

What? No Apache?? She's close enough! And I know you've got one or two pics you haven't shown us yet, lol.

All of your photos are perfectly balanced. Do you have any special way that you organize your photos so that you can go back and look for things, such as in the case of a Sunday Stills Challenge? I glanced around my house for something orange, but didn't see anything terribly interesting, and then my husband reminded me that we just got back from a track meet in which I took dozens of pictures with kids in orange uniforms. Duh! However, anytime that I try to sort through old photos I can never find what I need.

That is one happy birthday crew, although your husband looks like he would rather not be wearing the hat!
The Clyde makes the other two look like ponies. That is one tall horse!

Dobbie Girl looks tuckered out! So nice to see your family together in one shot! And the Hummingbird Vine and Equine shot is so lovely it would make a nice postcard.

Awesome pics!! I can't believe it hasn't stopped snowing there yet. Someone needs to tell Mother Nature that it's officially spring.

I honestly can't pick a favorite. I love your pup. The guy on the Clydesdale sure makes the other two look like they are riding ponies, too funny. I love the trumpet vine with the horse, beautifully composed, very serene.
