Double Rainbow ~ What Does It Mean?!?

About two weeks ago I shared a photo of a double rainbow  on my blog. Here in New Mexico we can expect to see double rainbows just about every time it rains during our Monsoon Season, because the sun is typically shining in the sky at the same time it’s raining.

So we tend to take rainbows for granted.

Except after I posted my double rainbow photo, Sydney mentioned a video on You Tube, that was made my someone called Hungry Bear, that I should watch. Check it out:

After watching that video I will never look at Double Rainbows the same way again.

Yesterday we had a big monsoon rainstorm with the sun shining as rain fell hard and hail pelted the earth. Soon a double rainbow filled the eastern sky, I stepped outside onto my bedroom balcony to try to experience the same feelings of awe and emotion that Hungry Bear did in Yosemite when he created his video.

I grabbed my camera to make my own Double Rainbow video and even though I was acting silly and having a little fun, I must admit that Hungry Bear’s spirit did actually shine through that rainbow and even caused me to be more appreciative of our beautiful double rainbows.

I have to say Lisa that your video of the rainbow was soooo much better and you could see the rainbow a lot better!

Congratulations, Lisa, you have made your very own parody video! That's so cool man, so freakin' cool!

And that Hungry Bear dude, was he a parody, or was he for real?

So glad I stopped here first thing--time to stop laughing and time to wipe away the tears; it's time to make the coffee and think back to the days of the flower children. Did we really sound like that?

LOL!! Thats hilarious!
I love that video it makes me laugh every time. If you watch that guys other videos he gets excited over other things as well it cracks me up.
I think you need to re-word the song though, somewhere over the double rainbow! Haha.

Nice picture and video. Did you go look for the pots of gold at each end of the rainbow?

HAHAHAH!! LISS!
It's a good thing that my cats are not around anymore..I laughed so loud- that they'd have dug themselves into the basement!

That dude's video seemed real to me...he was generally amazed...though he went on forever.. I too got teary eyed-knowing -FULL well- that penetrating feeling, shear beauty- when it hits the soul of you.

Your view/shots were so perfect! And your song, over the rainbow(s), with the "Loo do-dos"...had me going pretty good! HAR!

Love ya!
