One beautiful morning, myself and two of my riding companions headed over to David Canyon to enjoy a fun ride in David Canyon.

I may live in New Mexico, but I'm not a desert girl. My heart lives in the mountains. I prefer riding in the green forest surrounded by tall pines.
Always with that gorgeous New Mexico blue sky!
After a couple hours of riding, we found a log to serve as our lunch stop.

After lunch, we climbed back into our saddles and continued our ride. This time with me in the middle.
And then, Apache and I were in the front again. We were exploring a couple of new-to-us trails.
One of them is the Drop-In Trail. Now, one of my favorites.

Beautiful Drop-In Trail.
On Cajun Pine Trail, there are a few rock garden sections with large boulders for our horses to maneuver over, though and around.

Lush, green stands of scrub oaks to ride through.
Back at the trailer, Apache enjoys a cool drink of water.
